A current popular song is "Love Story" by Taylor Swift. This is a sweet song of parents requesting Romeo and Juliet not see each other. But contrary to Shakespeare's version Romeo makes their relationship right. "He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said,"Marry me, Juliet - you'll never have to be alone. I love you and that's all I really know. I talked to your dad - go pick out a white dress."
This is a great way to add some cultured and introduce Romeo and Juliet to your kids. Go buy Shakespeare's version.

Mitzvah day a day of great learning!
The Mitzvah Field Day was a true success. Many classmates loved the event and are writing about it volunteerily for their English assignment. Here are a few photographs. My son's friends were divided into groups of three or four and led the projects. This forced many students into leadership rolls who otherwise have never been "in charge." What a great side benefit for the project. We challenge you to invite all of your bar/bat mitzvah guests to a mitzvah instead of a party!

Bar Mitzvah Mitzvah
We are all looking forward to our "party" Friday day. Our son is organizing a track and field day at a city of Atlanta school instead of having a bar mitzvah party. He loves sports and wasn't interested in having a dj party, so we met with Hands On Atlanta. They put us in touch with Bethune Elementary's principal. The principal welcomed us and together we have created a great schedule for Friday. This was a unique opportunity to work together as a family on a true mitzvah.
